2023 marks the 25th consecutive year that Sacramento Area Museums have collaborated to present a FREE Museum experience! This year, 20+ amazing museums located throughout the greater Sacramento area are excited to present a two-day FREE Museum Weekend on March 4-5! Similar to last year -- and in an effort to prevent large crowds -- advance tickets are required, capacity is limited, and availability may fluctuate by museum. All guests must pre-register for free admission, otherwise, regular admission fees will apply.

Due to limited capacity plus an immediate and overwhelming response from the community, all FREE Museum Weekend tickets have been secured for March 4-5. If any additional tickets are released, they will first go to those on a wait list for each museum. We thank you for your interest and please stay tuned for more information about future activations by Sac Area Museums including Museum Membership Month happening in March."
Once you start planning out your trip if you find you registered for too many tickets or too many museums, please reply to your ticket email to let us know of any cancellations you may need to make. Once we are able to review cancellations we will rerelease available tickets to the waiting list. You can sign up for th awaiting list below.
Tickets are limited so please dont hold onto tickets you are not going to use so that someone else may use them.

The tours are approximately 1½ hours long and will meet at one of the following Capitol Park locations, depending on the day of the week: Sundays at 11:00 AM inside Capitol Park at 13th Street and Capitol Avenue (marked as the Hiram Johnson Memorial Parkway within the park), or Wednesdays at 10:00 AM at the corner of 10th and N streets on the Capitol grounds.
